What are FIFA 22 Headliners items?
FIFA 22 Headliners are a series of dynamic cards that give each player a starting boost from their standard item and are upgraded again if that player is included in a TOTW (Team of the Week) roster. However, that’s not the only way they can gain support. Man of the Match rewards also give the player an upgrade, and their cards can be further upgraded based on team performance: If at any point in the season their club wins four league games in a row, that player receives another GENE boost.
Note that the following rule can only be valid once. So if Liverpool continue on an eight-game winning streak, Mo Salah (RW, 93) and Virgil van Dijk (CB, 91) will rise after the first four wins, but not after the next four.
Who was in FIFA 22 Headliners Team 1?
FIFA 22 Headliners Team 1 landed on the pitch on Friday, December 31st. Along with Van Dijk, the group’s choice was Paris St Germain megastar Kylian Mbappe (ST, 93), who immediately established himself as the campaign’s most expensive card. Already upgraded to 94. The only other Premier League players to join VVD are Chelsea’s Reece James (RWB, 87), Kalidou Koulibaly (CB, Napoli, 89), Christopher Nkunku (CAM, RB Leipzig, 89) and Yannick Carrasco (LM, Atletico Madrid, 88) ).
What about FIFA 22 Headliner Team 2?
The aforementioned 93-rated Mo Salah was an instant fan favorite among FIFA 22 Headliner Team 2, which dropped on Friday, January 7th and was available in packs until 6pm on Friday, January 14th. At the time of writing this on Sunday, February 20, you have to spare 4.7 million coins to snag it for the PlayStation, while the Xbox price is a slightly more affordable 3.6 million. Salah is the Premier League’s most expensive card, with around 1.2 million in both console formats. Rivaling the duo is Vinicius Jr., who beat you 1.26m on PlayStation and 1.1m on Xbox.
Looking for FIFA 22 Headliners bargains? Sold for 21,000 on PlayStation and 26,500 on Xbox, Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is an attractive Premier League player. Otherwise, consider checking out Spain’s La Liga, where Artiz Elustondo (CB, Real Sociedad, 84) and Joselu (ST, Alaves, 84) are both sold for a very reasonable 14,000 coins.
Do you have FIFA 22 Headliners SBC?
Yup. As is customary in mainstream EA promotions, there was a special set of cards for the FIFA 22 Headliner SBCs (Squad Building Challenges): current West Ham midfielder Said Benrahma (CAM, 86), former Hammers favorite Dmitri Payet (CF) , Marseille, 86), Julian Brandt (CAM, Dortmund, 86) and Jonathan Clauss (RWB, RC Lens, 86).
FIFA 22 Headliners goals were also a thing. Denis Zakaria (CDM, Borussian M’gladbach, 86), Live FUT Friendly Match: In the Headliners Challenge match type, it can be earned by completing four goal sets – for example, winning four games and assisting with crosses on five goals. Jump into the Live FUT Friendly Silver Lounge and you might win another Headliners player from the Bundelisga: Nico Schlotterbeck of Freiburg with 72 points. You needed three wins, eight goals and six assists in that type of match to catch him.
Felipe Anderson (LM, Latium, 87) and Anthony Modeste (ST, FC Koln, 72) were also available as Goals-based rewards. Unfortunately all Headliners SBC and Objectives Challenges are now over.
